" I am grateful for the four years that I have known and worked with Mandy Davis. When first meeting Mandy during coursework at Hazelden Graduate School, it was immediately clear she had a strong passion for working with patients suffering with substance abuse, as well as those with grief and loss issues. During graduate school, She displayed a thirst for knowledge, and was always one to volunteer for extracurricular work and role plays.
Mandy's hard work paid off when she alone was selected from our class of 23 to continue interning at Hazelden her final semester, while the rest of us were required to go out and search for internships. Her internship that semester consisted of conducting client assessments on different units, and on the medical detox unit. This work allowed her to distinguish herself further amongst the Hazelden staff with her dedication to hard work, her upbeat personality and unique sense of humor. It was clear not only to me, but the rest of our class; Mandy had found a career, which she not only loved but also excelled.
In 2011, had the good fortune to work with Mandy, while working in Outpatient Services at Hazelden's Center City main location. When Mandy referred clients to our program, the clients always spoke highly of her knowledge, encouragement and compassion.
I hate to see Mandy leave the area, as she has been a reliable personal friend, and trusted colleague, however, I have no reservations in recommending her with the highest possible regards in facilitating change in those who are in need of Substance Abuse treatment and counseling. The state of Arkansas will be fortunate to have such a talented clinician. - Marc Kramer, MA, BCC, LADC; Hazelden Foundation.
" I had the pleasure of being Mandy's Supervisor at the Hazelden Graduate School of Addictions. After her graduation from the program Mandy was immediately hired at Hazelden, and for the past two years, I have worked with her on the same multi-disciplinary team at the Hazelden Foundation. I have witnessed Mandy's excellent clinical and assessment skills. She is very compassionate and able to empathize with her clients. Mandy sets firm boundaries while treating people with dignity and respect. Additionally, she possess great people skills and quickly establishes rapport with her clients. Mandy individualizes treatment plans to meet the needs of the clients she works with, and is skilled at both individual and group therapy. I have no reservations in recommending her work in the field of chemical dependency, as well as any co-occuring disorders. Please feel free to contact me at 651.271.4948, and I will be happy to further discuss her abilities with you." - Janaka Hanvey, PhD., Licensed Psychologist, Hazelden Foundation
